Compress JPEG or Other Images to a 100KB Maximum

Choose one image or a batch, leave the target at 100KB, and select a format accepted by your upload form. Use JPG to compress JPEG to 100KB when the destination requires that format. Press Compress, compare each preview with the original, and download the results that meet your requirements. In the default mode, the maximum is 100,000 bytes. The tool does not promise an exact weight: an image can finish below the limit or remain above it after the available attempts.

JPG, PNG, and WebP Choices

Choose JPG when your upload form accepts JPEG photos. JPG output puts transparent areas on a white background. WebP can preserve transparency, but use it only if the destination accepts it. PNG preserves transparency without the JPG or WebP quality adjustment, which can make the same byte target harder to reach. File size, format and dimensions must each satisfy the destination rules; the smallest output is not automatically the right one.

How to Keep a Clear 100KB Result

Start from the original image and crop unnecessary background in an editor when the content is small. If the source is already under the selected limit and its format is unchanged, the tool keeps it without recompression. Otherwise, processing starts with a longest edge of up to 2,400 pixels before the JPG or WebP quality search. Dimensions may decrease further if the target is still out of reach. Check faces, signatures and small text in the preview and open the downloaded file. Use a larger maximum if the destination permits it and the 100KB result loses essential detail.

Why Is My Image Still Rejected Under 100KB?

Check the exact bytes, file format and pixel dimensions rather than relying on a rounded label. The default counts 1KB as 1,000 bytes, so 100KB targets a maximum of 100,000 bytes. The optional 1,024-byte unit mode uses 102,400 bytes for the same numeric target; select it only when those units match the destination. You can enter a limit directly in bytes. If the portal requires JPG or exact dimensions, prepare and verify those separately. Compression can reduce the pixel dimensions and does not guarantee acceptance by the receiving website.

Can I compress JPEG to 100KB without changing the dimensions?+

Only when the result can meet the limit without resizing. Files that need processing start with a longest edge of up to 2,400 pixels and may shrink further. If a JPEG is already under the maximum and you keep JPG output, its original file and dimensions are preserved. Otherwise, check the result dimensions instead of assuming they remain unchanged.

Can I compress PNG to 100KB?+

Yes, but complex PNG files may need WebP or JPG output to reach 100KB.
